History

ABRAIDI , the Brazilian Association of Importers and Distributors of Implants, has been working in the interests of its members since 1993, when it began with 15 associated companies.

The success of its continuous activities in the whole of Brazil , together with an increase in members , resulted in the moving of its headquarters to São Paulo in August 2001, in this way providing greater and more effective assistance to the companies, with the aim of constantly encouraging and improving the development of the brazilian health sector .

In order to generate greater interaction among the companies in this area, the current management of ABRAIDI has increased the participation of its members, acting decisively on two flanks. The first, helping in the definition and creation of new business in the brazilian health sector, as ABRAIDI is, today, recognised by public bodies and by various commissions acting in defence of the common interests of this field.

The second flank is to create a databank with technical and business information focusing predominantly on the area of medical-surgical implants.

Our goal is to ally strong political activity, which has already resulted in significant gains, to a wide range of services, such as consultation services, legal advice, technical advice in health and safety, the dissemination of information, inter-company co-operation and activities to promote and publicise the sector.
